Solidarity Behavioral Response Report |Red Cross Children’s Hospital (Rx Radio) Campaign

As part of our efforts to mobilise South Africans, we partnered with the Red Cross' Rx station to tell the story of the virus from a child's perspective. Rx is the first radio station in the world run by children and is broadcast from within a hospital. The Creation and the Impact of the Citizens in Solidarity Campaign

The Solidarity Fund has a clear mandate to support the national health response, contribute to humanitarian relief efforts and mobilise South Africans to drive a united response to the COVID-19. For more details on our efforts on mobilising South Africans, please take a moment and read through a summary of the Citizens in Solidarity Campaign.

The Campaign had two aspects namely the conceptualization and the impact of the campaign. The conceptualization part maps out how the campaign unfolded and managed to build the solidarity brand within 17 days. The Implementation part maps out how the campaign has managed to reach at least 28 million South Africans through various platforms to date, the bulk of which come from radio and TV campaigns.
